The best candidates for this full time internship position are students who have finished their A levels or Diploma and are waiting to enter university and want to pick up valuable internship experience before then.
We will be paying the standard intern monthly allowance of $500 SGD so this position is more for those seeking to gain valuable experience and not for those looking for full time occupations after graduation.

TheSmartLocal is a Singapore hyper local media portal that receives over 500,000 unique visitors a month. We focus on things to do in Singapore and have a review database and magazine section. We get more online readership than most newspapers and magazines in Singapore.

About Our Internship Program:

For a very limited time, we are opening up internship positions. No, you will not be chucked in a corner and left to do boring menial work like many companies who hire interns.
You will be given an invaluable learning experience and be positioned at the forefront of new media in Singapore. Interns will be personally mentored, given hands on experience and be trained to become digital media dynamos and be taught to develop their expertise in digital media.
We are looking for interns for two full time positions. Journalist/social media interns (Two Vacancies) and a intern who specialises in Media Production. (One Vacancy)

Position 1: Journalist/Social Media Intern:
================================
You need to enjoy and have a flair for writing. If you've been complimented on your writing ability at some point of your life, this job is probably applicable to you. The scope of the job is fun and varied inclusive of:
-Curating quality content on social media / blogs
-Attending Events and Media Invitations and writing recaps
-Writing Reviews, Articles and Researching potential topics
-Creating Scripts for Short Movies and Video Skits

Position 1 Job Requirements:

-Relevant field of study. Mass Comm / Journalism / etc. Others with passion may be considered.
-Actively use social media Able to write well. By that we mean concise writing with perfect grammar. We value an articulate and engaging writing style over having a fancy pants vocabulary.

Position 2: Media Production Intern:
==========================
Although we can train you, you are required to have at least basic photography/media experience. The type who enjoys making their own films and photo albums. The scope of the job is wide and varied inclusive of:
-Photography / Image editing
-Attending Events and being given photography/videography assignments
-Video production and editing
-Bringing to life scripts in Short Movies and Video Skits Media

-Relevant field of study. Mass Comm / Media / etc. Others with passion may be considered.
-Passion for photography / videography and capturing the beauty in life through visuals.
